Fri 26 Oct: Strange Forces (AUS, psych-rock) +The History Of Colour TV (UK/DE, shoegaze) by DuChamp

Cranky bookings and Blitzgigs presents:

Strange Forces (AUS, psych-rock) +The History Of Colour TV (UK/DE, shoegaze)

+ DJ’s Augustine Gasoline and Ricky Thunder (Sound of Cobra)
Strange Forces debut full length, I’d Rather Listen To The Bloody Birds, is a typical slice of what we had come to expect from these Australian boys, the finest psych-rock band Berlin has to offer. Having spent some time back down under earlier this year, they’ve returned and finished off this long awaited record. After touring Europe last year and finishing with three dates in support of Mogwai on the German leg of their tour, it’ll be great to see these boys back in full flow after a long break from Berlin’s venues.

The History Of Colour TV release of their debut album, Emerald Cures Chic Ills, on November 7th.
The History Of Colour TV are without a doubt the best shoegaze band in Berlin. Having now added Marcus, aka Theo Rahkun, aka that beast of a drummer behind I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream and Skiing, The History Of…have replaced the drum machine with one of the best drummers in Berlin. This is going to be one to remember.

Augustine Gasoline and co on the decks play all the Rihanna, Madonna and Michael Jackson you could possibly need…plus more of course.
