IKU SAKAN & SUPERMELLE (Sun Horogram Music/JP,DK)
Iku Sakan is a experimental sound performer, improvisor and DJ from Osaka, Japan currently based in Berlin, Germany. Since 2009, he has been performed all over the world including important festivals in Europe as a member of several bands, such as ATP in the UK (with Maher Shalal Hash Baz) and Avantgard Festival in Germany. His music is a sort of weaving exercise, looking to find “soulful moments from soulless materials.” Iku explores music as ‘Myth-Science’ by combining computer processing, prepared recordings with a range of sounding objects (such as mini-massager, measure & oscillator).

Anders Lauge Meldgaard is the real name of the man behind Supermelle aka Frisk Frugt. He is coming out of the experimental music collective yoyooyoy based in Berlin and Copenhagen. Frisk Frugt (eng. Fresh Fruit) operates in his own quirky musical universe, where the genre of traditional Danish folk song writing and poetry in an unpretentious way are spiced up with elements from experimental rock, improvisation, drone, noise, electronica, lo-fi, free jazz and African high-life guitar. Here, the music arises at the intersection between the programmed and the hand played, and between the naive and the complex – where the sonorous clouds of tones from home-built instruments, brutal guitarriffs, synthdreams and saxophone improvisations are mixed together.

Tasos Stamou is a currently UK based performer of free improvised music and an electroacoustic composer. He has been collaborating with various experimental musicians and collectives (the London Improvisers Orchestra, Adam Bohman, Adachi Tomomi, Nikos Veliotis etc). His audiovisual project “Videodrones” consists of a handmade live electronics modular system which incorporates circuit bent musical toys and self-modified video mixers.

FAUSTO MAIJSTRAL (Musique Concrete, Drone/NZ,IT)
Fausto Maijstral is the duo of DuChamp (IT) and Will Gresson (NZ). Together they perform dense, musique concrete/drone pieces that explore memory and lived experience through heavily processed instruments and field recordings. They performed with Concern (US), Family Battle Snake (GR), Steindor Kristinsson (IS), Iku Sakan (JP), Bemydelay (IT) and Rella the Woodcutter (IT), and opened the 2011 edition of Occultofest in Ausland, Berlin.

KRAPOOLA (Impro, Sound Exploration/ES)
Krapoola is a tamer who explores the ways that materials interact when the entropicio happens. Noise is a part of this, not a reality by itself. Along this learning path a memory has formed itself and oblivion has appeared. The mutation has just begun. Regression? For his performances Krapoola’s self-built devices are the usual. They mostly proceed from detritus and go towards the secret. One of his tricks is to spin three records at the same time – one at normal speed, another one twice as fast or slow and one gets played backwards.

Miguel Negrão, is a sound artist born in 1981 in Lisbon, Portugal. Under the alias ZLB he has been active with Drone and Ambient music projects, having released one album “I Was Vaguely Aware of Something” on Friendly Virus, an independent record label and collective of which he is part and helped create. He has performed or presented pieces for the Wave Field System of the Game of Life foundation, Acousmonium sound diffusion system of the Groupe de Recherches Musicales and for the SoundWalk installation of Miso Music Portugal. He has played in Lisbon, Porto (PT), Den Haag, Utrech, Leiden (NL) and Vigo, A Corunã, Ferrol (ES). With a Bachelor Degree in Applied Mathematics, he has recently finished a Masters at the Sonology Institute in the Den Haag Conservatory on the topic of Strategies in diffuse spatialization, specifically, using the 192 speaker Wave Field Synthesis system of the Game of Life Foundation.

DuChamp is an Italian scientist, musician, curator actually living in Berlin. A true pedal junkie, switched rapidly from garage punk to psychedelia and to experimental, and from guitar to bass guitar and to accordion, having bought a third hand one after have seeing Pauline Oliveros in concert. She actually make drones with accordion and many effects (delay, reverb) in the attempt to re-built certain childhood memories.
